Paray is the private residence of the Châtelain and family. As such, visits must be scheduled in advance. Normally the castle and grounds are available for visit May thru October.

Itinerary from Paris (2h50, 285 km):
On leaving Paris, take the A6, direction Lyon/Evry.
After 83 km, take the A77, direction Nevers/Montargis, which is extended by the RN7, direction Moulins. Pass Moulins, and exit at Toulon Sur Allier. Continue on the RN7 toward Vichy, and five kilometers, go right on Lieu Dit Paray.
Train from Paris
The train from Paris to Moulins runs a relaxed 2 1/2 hours from Paris Bercy station. Several returns are offered each day. Once in Moulins, UBER or taxi (right from the station) is recommended.
Itinerary from Clermont-Ferrand (1h35, 120 km):
On leaving Clermont-Ferrand, take the A71, direction Paris, Riom.
Continue for 65 km then take the N7, direction Moulins. Just past Bessay-sur-Allier, take a Left onto Lieu Dit Paray.
